Amelia Piano Trio

“Music with passion and a playful sense of adventure.” The Washington Post

Formed in 1999, the Amelia Piano Trio came to the fore after participating in Issac Stern’s Chamber Music Workshop at Carnegie Hall in 2000. Stern personally mentored the trio and presented the ensemble’s Carnegie Hall debut. Since then, the Trio has toured widely and, in 2003, it became the Young Ensemble in Residence for National Public Radio. The Trio is also well known as a commissioner of new music and has performed new works by such contemporary composers as John Harbison and Daron Hagen.
