STAGE TECHNICIAN-Temporary

Positions available September 2010 – June 2011

Duties/Responsibilities: Meany Hall is a performing arts center with a full-time stage staff. Every year it is necessary to supplement our staff with temporary stage technicians (stage carpenters, stage electricians, stage audio technicians) on a show by show basis.

Minimum Qualifications: At least three years employment in the industry or an accredited technical theatre program.

Food Concessions Manager

Position available: September 1 – June 30. Current University of Washington students only

Duties/Responsibilities: Run night of event food concessions area in Meany Hall for scheduled performances. Reconcile sales income with night of event inventories. Schedule and supervise barista, helper and volunteers. Order food and drink consumables and supplies from established vendors.

Minimum Qualifications: Experience in food service and cashiering; excellent customer service and communications skills; transportation for pick up of supplies; working knowledge of Excel and Word; King County food service permit (may be obtained after hiring).

Hours: Average 25 - 35 hours per month. Evenings and weekends for scheduled performances with some daytime administrative hours required.
